The APPLY Project (1991 - 1994)
... A Practical and Portable Lisp Implementation

The APPLY german joint project on Lisp has
been funded for three years (1991-1994) by the German Ministry of
Research an Technology. The major goal is to increase the performance
- runtime and storage efficiency, portability, and integrateability -
of Lisp applications. As a result,
CLiCC - The Common Lisp to C Compiler - is available (see
below).
The project has been supported by the German Federal Ministry for
Research and Technology (BMFT) (1991 - 1994).
