Why DrScheme?: PLT's vision

The textbook How to Design Programs provides an introduction to programming using the DrScheme environment. Although the book is not distributed with DrScheme, a draft of the book is available online as Lecture Notes for the TeachScheme! project:

The textbook becomes available in print sometime during the year 2000.
