Malente is a nice little
town in the middle of the German Bundesland Schleswig-Holstein.
Although surrounded by lakes and forests it is easily reachable from the
cities Hamburg, Kiel or Lübeck.
You can view a map,
which shows the ``Autobahnen'' and ``Bundesstraßen'' leading to
Malente.
- From Hamburg, central station, take a train to Kiel (there leaves at
least one train per hour) and then
take the train to Lübeck (also one train per hour).
There are also some trains going directly from Hamburg to Malente via
Lübeck.
You can look up a suitable train on the
Railway timetable
information
of the Deutsche Bahn (German Railways)
- At the station ``Bad Malente-Gremsmühlen'' follow the signposts.
You are within a walking distance (approximately five minutes)
from Hotel Intermar.
The nearest international airport is Hamburg.
Other near national airports are Kiel and Lübeck.
The Way to Malente by Aircraft via Hamburg
- Take the "Flughafenbus" (airport express) to Hamburg HBf (main station),
which leaves from the entrance of the terminal every 20 minutes.
- Follow the instructions given above (By train via
Hamburg).
We recommend to get to Malente on the Autobahn A1 (motorway).
The A1 is the motorway connecting Hamburg with Lübeck.
From Lübeck you take the Bundesstraße B76 to Kiel.
The Way to Malente by Car via A1, Junction Eutin
- Leave the A1 at Junction Eutin towards Kiel (signposted)
- After about 10 km leave the road to the L57 in direction Eutin
- You will get into Eutin. Stay on this road until you arrive in Malente.
If you have further question concerning your arrival/departure, please
