Announcement:
The "Workshop on Algorithms" is intended as a forum for researches in the algorithmic areas. It will be a good occasion to get to know better what specific subjects are researched in different workgroups; we mainly aim at bringing together researchers in various fields of algorithmic sciences; our goal here is the fusion and mutual inspiration of theoretical and practical research. The workshop is addressed at all researchers working in the fields of interest; however interested individuals are explicitly encouraged to participate.
The workshop will be held mainly within the focus of the DFG priority program 1126 on "Algorithmics of Large and Complex Networks". Furthermore, the covered areas include those of the study groups Study Group 0.1.1 on "Algorithms and Data Structures", Study Group 0.1.2 on "Algorithmic Geometry", and Study Group 0.1.3 on "Parallel and Distributed Algorithms" of the Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. and the integrated project AEOLUS granted by the European Union.
