ELBASYS
ELBASYS is a project lead by Airbus, funded by the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft (BMWi), for developing electrical base system in a carbon fiber composite aircraft fuselage. Special electrical and mechanical properties of carbon fiber based elements lead to new challenges in structural monitoring and electrical shielding of electronic systems.
Subproject 5 researches into data recording and structural monitoring systems. These are meant for early detection of faults and provide detailed information for maintenance. This is intended to improve the operational availability of the aircraft.
We contribute to subproject 5.2.4 in applying concepts of the Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) to the data recording function. This function will be implemented model based and a method developed to derive the resource data for integration on IMA systems.
