Research Cooperations

The Institute for computer science not only has internal university research collaborations, but also a large amount of national collaborations with academic institutions.

The collaborations are supported by the following institutions: "Technologiestiftung Schleswig-Holstein", "Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft", "Federal Minister for Education and Research" and the "European Union".

Moreover, there exists a multitude of different international research collaborations, whereas these relationships mainly refer to Europe. The following map is designed to give you a brief overview of the international cooperations of the Institute. Please click on the graphic to see it in original size.

An example is the cooperation is the Computational Sciences Center; in which the working groups "Algorithmic optimal control - CO2 uptake of the ocean", "Discrete Optimization" and "Scientific Computing" from the Institute for computer science take part in.

Within the scope of the initiative of excellence of the Federal Government the working group Algorithmic optimal control - CO2 uptake of the ocean, headed by Prof. Dr. Thomas Slawig, is part of the Institute for Computer Science and works in the project A3 of the Cluster of Excellence `The Future Ocean'.
